Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress is well known for her roles in film and on television since the mid 1980s. She has received various honors, like the Golden Globe Award as well as 16 NAACP Image Awards. in the television and film industry, she's known for her awards and nominations. Bassett was raised living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an aunt in New York New York. Bassett along with her sister and their mother moved to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was five. Their father split from the mother of their children. When she was in high school Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut was where she earned her bachelor's in African American and master's degrees (1983). At Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a co-actor and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Master of Arts (Afro-American study) in the year 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in the lead role of Ramonda in the action-adventure film, i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
